Bennett is the most active person in the whole world. He loves to do things and create things and go places. He is a bundle of energy.
This is why he has gymnastic rings in his room - he needs to do flipping and swinging and spinning each and every day.
Ben is in grade five. He loves stuffies, especially his Build-A-Bear named Zever. He took all of his birthday money and bought Zever the kinds of things every bear needs, like a car. Ben is determined and very loving. He loves to cuddle, especially a "squish-down".
You can see in this picture that the minute it snowed, Ben was outside building something. This time, it was a jump for his snowboard. He spent hours and hours building and jumping on this day.
Ben doesn't love school. He feels sick almost every morning. Ben doesn't love sleeping. He feels sick almost every night. Ben doesn't love cleaning. He feels sick almost every time we clean. Ben loves to play and build and be independent. He finds things that he can use to build with and brings them home. At this point, I'd like to give a special "thanks" to Artco who never cleans up his construction sites (they happen to be located enroute to Ben's school). Much of the garbage around those sites has been dragged back to our house. We are personally responsible for paying for disposal of the junk from his construction sites through this special connection with Ben.
Ben is a really great kid. He touches people's hearts in a unique way... mainly by surprise. He makes people smile - like the time when he was doing disco dancing in the aisle at church with his friend, Micah (during worship). Little did they realize half the church was watching (and laughing). I didn't know if I should try to stop them or not (it was quite irreverant looking - not like these guys are terrific dancers). I didn't. People thanked me afterwards for letting them carry on like that. Funny kid he is.

Sharon,
this sounds so much like our Riley!! I would like to say it is refreshing to read your blog about Ben. Thank you for describing your children to me.
Love, Alanna Drews
