Just in front of the wall, you can see some huts that are the homes of the fishermen and their families. We watched the children play a form of baseball on the beach for hours - it is summer vacation time. No Indians ever swim in the ocean. Even before the tsunami, swimming is something that they just don't do. They like to put their toes in the water to cool down, but they don't swim. The day was overcast and about 33degrees C down from 42degrees the day before. The ocean wind was exceptionally refreshing. The beach stretches as far as you can see.
